Play-by-Playcast Ep. 59 (Victor Rojas / Los Angeles Angels)

Play-by-Playcast Ep. 58 (Josh Lewin / NY Mets & UCLA)

Josh Lewin is one of the busiest men in broadcasting.  A year ago his September included the New York Mets, the San Diego Chargers, the UCLA Bruins and probably a little prep for UCLA hoops as well.  He made it out alive.  Josh joins the pod to talk about balancing that schedule, having called games for five different MLB teams, working on the national level at a young age and how to keep your eye on the ball.

Play-by-Playcast Ep. 57 (Craig Bolerjack / Utah Jazz)

Craig Bolerjack has done a ton in his career; from the NFL to downhill skiing.  The TV voice of the Utah Jazz first moved out west working in TV news as a sports reporter anc anchor and he's never left.  Not only has Bolerjack become associated with the Jazz, but he's also worked for ESPN, FOX and CBS covering at times the NFL and the NCAA Tournament.  Bolerjack covers all of those experiences and dives into his approach to broadcasting including prep and how exactly do you handle calling a game in an environment that isn't as loud as you might like.

Play-by-Playcast Ep. 56 (Dave Wills / Tampa Bay Rays)

Dave Wills has been one half of the Rays Radio broadcast since 2005.  He and Andy Freed team for one of the top booths in baseball.  A native of Chicago and former member of the White Sox crew and the inaugural voice of the Kane County Cougars (A-, Midwest League), Wills discusses climbing the ranks through broadcasting, the phone call that didn't go as planned, working with Andy on-air, having his on bobblehead and more.

Play-by-Playcast Ep. 55 (Don Fischer / Indiana Hoosiers)

Don Fischer is one of the longest tenured broadcasters in all of college athletics.  Having just completed his 44th year as the "Voice of the Hoosiers," Don has seen...well, he's almost seen it all in Bloomington.  On the call for three of Indiana's five national titles in basketball and on the air for the rebuild under Tom Crean, Fischer has carried Hossier fans through the ups and downs...but mostly ups...of the last four decades.  HE joins the pod to tell stories of his career, why he still uses a stick mic and how the very first broadcast of his career went.

Play-by-Playcast Ep. 54 (Mike Keith / Tennessee Titans)

"Touchdown Titans! There are no flags on the field! It's a miracle! Tennessee has pulled a miracle!" It was Mike Keith's first season as a pxp voice in the NFL and he didn't feel he was having his best game...then he made on of the more iconic calls in recent NFL memory.  The long-tenured voice of the Titans joins the podcast this week to talk about that call in the 2000 NFL playoffs and more about his career.

Play-by-Playcast Ep. 53 (Brian Sieman / Los Angeles Clippers)

Brian Sieman mapped out a path to the NBA early in his broadcasting career.  That path included a run through basketball's minor leagues...a road less traveled for most.  But for Sieman it worked perfectly and not long after he was in the WNBA and the NBA in Minnesota. Sieman talks about that journey, his role now with the Clippers, his prep, how he conducts interviews and more in episode 53 of #PxPCast.

Play-by-Playcast Ep. 52 (Kevin Calabro / Portland Trailbalzers)

Kevin Calabro spent 2016-17 as his first as the TV voice of the Portland Trailblazers...that after he spent nearly a decade working with the Pac-12 Networks, ESPN and ESPN Radio and calling the NBA Finals.  Of course, before that he spent two decades as the voice of the Seattle SuperSonics.  Needless to say he's one of the more respected voices in the NBA and this week he's on PxPCast.

Play-by-Playcast Ep. 51 (Jim Rosenhaus / Cleveland Indians)

Jim Rosenhaus bet on himself in 2007.  The 11-year voice of the Buffalo Bisons, Rosenhaus moved to the Major Leagues for a production and hosting job.  He was told it was not at all a play-by-play position.  But the bet eventually paid off with Jim earning pxp duties along Tom Hamilton in 2012.  Jim talks about that journey, about the World Series and about what goes into his calling of a game.

Holy Tim Tebow! Kevin Fitzgerald joins us this week to talk all things Tim Tebow playing minor league baseball, his own career broadcasting in the minors and his time working at ESPN.  Fitzgerlad is a 2014 graduate of Syracuse University and one of the big up-and-comers and fast risers in broadcasting today!
